Overview
4CF is a company specializing in strategic foresight, dedicated to studying future trends to empower clients in making informed strategic decisions. With over ten years of experience, they serve a diverse clientele from around the globe.
To enhance their tailored services, they recognized the need for sophisticated tools that could facilitate expert collaboration and provide clients with clear, visual outputs of their research findings.

The Challenge
To address these needs, 4CF decided to develop an internal application designed for remote discussions among experts, while simultaneously generating clear visual representations of their research outputs. This tool aims to tackle two primary challenges: complex research management (collaborating with experts is often time-consuming and resource-intensive, complicating the research process), clear communication of research outputs (presenting research findings in a clear and satisfying format for clients can significantly extend project timelines).
To overcome these challenges, the MindMap application was developed. This tool features a user-friendly visual interface that generates vector infographics from expert inputs using a unique algorithm.
Future Forecasting
The Solution
4CF leverages statistics and strategic foresight to analyze data and derive insights about various economic trends. To effectively communicate their findings, a tree-like graph structure was implemented. In the web application, experts collaborate by scoring each other’s responses on specific topics, with the graph and their inputs updating in real-time on the server. Following workshops, 4CF can export an SVG version of the entire discussion for presentation purposes.

The development of this application required extensive collaboration with the 4CF team to gather the necessary knowledge and insights. Several brainstorming sessions were held to discuss mechanics and the application’s logic structure. After sketching multiple workable versions, user interviews with experts from various fields were conducted, yielding predominantly positive feedback.
